The subject of Henrik Uldalen‘s magnificent oil paintings is the human eye. The artist’s ongoing series depicts multiple variations of beautifully-rendered eyes and mouths on glass. With the oil works, Uldalen is trying to explore “the dark sides of life, nihilism, existentialism, longing and loneliness, juxtaposed with fragile beauty,” as extensions of his classic figurative works.
