The supercell thunderstorms are an impressive meteorological phenomenon that is often associated with violent winds as tornadoes. American photographer Mike Hollingshead has specialized in capturing these monsters, and turned some of his photographs taken in Nebraska into stunning animated GIFs made from a single picture!
