Teacher Paints Portraits On His Hand To Create ‘Hand-Stamps’

An artist paints incredibly detailed portraits on the palm of his hand – and then transfers them to paper

On Facebook | Instagram

Russell Powell is an elementary school teacher and artist from California. He paints stunning portraits on his hand using face paint, and then presses it on to a piece of paper. The result is a mirror image of his palm and the painting on it. He calls the process hand-stamping.

    1. Yes, he is fantastic artist and both hands.
      Fabulous painter.
      Do not thank me for sharing;
      my job is the publication of artists.
      This website is not personal, it is dedicated to them.
      On this WP we do not really know contemporary art or art blogs. Since almost nobody makes reblogs!
      Thanks for the comment and appreciation.

    2. Thank you for clarifying the page and it’s mission. I guess I’m thanking you folks for what you are passing along into the world so more of us can see it. Many of these folks I would have never seen or heard about without following the page. 🙂

Artists deserve respect. Even if it bothers you and you don't like their work; refrain from negative opinions, non-constructive remarks. Opt for an objective analysis of the work as well as a good understanding of the author's intentions..Thx
