Buika y Javier Limónen en Buenafuente: Oro Santo -‘Mujeres de Agua’

Buika Oro Santo and Javier Limónen in Buenafuente: Oro Santo

desesperado…

Bio

Concha Buika: the outspoken queen of flamenco fusion

Strangely, for a woman with such a unique singing style, Concha Buika’s voice is not her most difficult feature to convey in print. It’s her laugh. Deep and dirty, sonorous and soulful, it ebbs and flows, constantly interrupting the conversation. And it comes when you least expect it. The queen of flamenco

Buika is a singer, poet, composer and music producer. Her music draws on a wide range of influences, from jazz and flamenco to pop, soul and African polyrhythm. She began her career as a drummer and bassist, turning to singing only because “in Spain nobody wanted a female drummer, and I got tired of hearing no, no, no.” Buika then gained fame singing coplas in Madrid nightclubs in the late 1990s. She has been compared to Nina Simone

Buika – Jodida pero contenta

Artists deserve respect. Even if it bothers you and you don't like their work; refrain from negative opinions, non-constructive remarks. Opt for an objective analysis of the work as well as a good understanding of the author's intentions..Thx
